Although Fornasetti long dreamed of Capri and created this iconic design solely with his imagination before ever visiting the legendary island, he eventually took his family there for a vacation. In the 1960s, he also opened a temporary Fornasetti store on the island. The idea to combine personified suns and clouds first appeared in a sketch for a scarf that Piero drew in 1950. Now, it's a playful print that adds a unique and original touch to the décor.
